Waitrose has opened its first new supermarket in eight years in Cricklewood, North London, as the retailer confirms plans for four more new stores. The opening of the retailer's 18,000 sq ft 'Home of Food Lovers' store is its first full-line supermarket launch since 2018 and will be followed by the opening of a Waitrose supermarket in Hale Barns, Greater Manchester in November. In addition, Waitrose has acquired four sites for new stores, all of which are set to open from 2027.

London Designer Outlet (LDO) is set to welcome Kate Spade later this year, after the fashion retailer signed a five-year lease for a 1,341 sq ft unit. The American fashion house, known for its handbags, will offer a range of accessories, jewellery, womenswear, and shoes at the new store. At LDO, Kate Spade will join a number of fashion brands including Boss, Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, Guess, and Kurt Geiger.

The retailer has taken a 1,960 sq ft space, offering its latest range of clothing for men and women, including rugby shirts, polos, Oxford shirts, printed dresses, and knitwear. The launch forms part of Crew Clothing’s continued retail expansion strategy, following openings at Meadowhall in Sheffield and Kent's Bluewater earlier this year.
