The mayor of London Sadiq Khan has announced that he will move ahead with plans to pedestrianise Oxford Street. This follows an extensive public consultation which attracted over 6,000 responses and found that almost seven in 10 respondents backed the proposals. Some major businesses have also welcomed the plans, including Selfridges, John Lewis, and Ikea. The proposals were first announced last year, and outlined the pedestrianisation of the almost mile-long stretch of Oxford Street between Orchard Street and Oxford Circus up to Great Portland Street.

Interactive shooting bar Clays is set to open its largest site yet within London's West End. The venue – located at 77 Brewer Street – will comprise around 20,000 sq ft across three floors. It will be situated in a Grade II-listed corner building owned by The Crown Estate. The site will feature a bar, virtual clay pigeon shooting pegs, private hire rooms, a luxury private room, a DJ booth, and 'Clays Arcade', designed for a more fast-paced experience for smaller groups and couples.
