The new owners of Christopher Place in St Albans have appointed Cushman & Wakefield as leasing agents for the scheme. The 88,000 sq ft city-centre destination features 34 retail units and a car park, with plans currently underway to transform it into a hub for affordable luxury shopping with a dining experience. Cushman & Wakefield said it is ready to drive forward a series of targeted initiatives to enhance the estate, and establish Christopher Place as a prime destination for shoppers and diners.

A joint venture between Peterborough Capital and George Capital has acquired a freehold retail estate in St Albans from Legal & General. Christopher Place comprises 30 retail units over approximately 88,000 sq ft of space on a 1.6 acre site, alongside a dedicated car park. Under the terms of the joint venture, George Capital will lead the asset management of Christopher Place. Together, the partners are planning to implement a series of initiatives to enhance the estate, including selective capital investment and activation of new leasing opportunities.

A retail park in Letchworth, Hertfordshire has been placed on the investment market with an asking price of £14,620,000, reflecting a net initial yield of 6.45%. Plinston Retail Park spans 69,238 sq ft and comprises four purpose-built retail warehouse units let to Home Bargains, Pets at Home, Iceland, and Halfords. The scheme has a weighted average unexpired lease term of 8.5 years to expiry.
