Jigsaw has opened its second outlet store in the UK at Landsec's Braintree Village in Essex. The British fashion brand's new space spans 1,787 sq ft and offers a range of clothing, footwear, and accessories. The opening builds on leasing momentum at Braintree Village, following the recent arrivals of British fashion brands Mint Velvet, Whistles, Hobbs and Phase Eight. Across its outlets at Braintree Village, Gunwharf Quays, and Clarks Village, Landsec said it uses its wider retail portfolio relationships and extensive customer data and insight to identify brands with the potential to succeed in the outlet format, helping them reach new audiences.

Chelmsford retail park fully let following Waitrose opening

Chelmer Village Retail Park in Chelmsford, Essex is now fully let following the opening of Waitrose at the Redevco-owned scheme. The 10,055 sq ft store includes a 7,000 sq ft sales area, and features two dedicated trolley bays within the car park. This follows Redevco’s acquisition of a £518m UK retail park portfolio in December 2024 from Oxford Properties, which included Chelmer Village. Redevco said leasing momentum has gathered pace across its portfolio in recent months.

Hollywood Bowl leads raft of new lettings at Chelmsford's The Meadows

The Meadows in Chelmsford has completed a raft of new signings, led by leisure operator Hollywood Bowl. Spanning 30,000 sq ft, the operator's new venue will open this winter and feature multi-lane bowling, a games zone, and a sports bar. Hollywood Bowl will anchor the growing leisure hub at the scheme, complementing the existing Odeon cinema and food and beverage offer. This F&B offer is also being expanded with the addition of restaurant brand Smoke & Pepper.
