Guinness World Records will open its first permanent entertainment venue in the UK at The O2 in London. Set to open in late 2026, the 25,000 sq ft venue will look to combine competitive socialising with record breaking feats, with visitors able to attempt over 50 official Guinness World Record titles across six challenge areas. Japanese dining brand Maki & Ramen is set to join the food and beverage lineup at Lakeside Shopping Centre in Essex. Arriving in early 2026, the restaurant will feature a full sushi bar and a curated menu of Japanese dishes and cocktails. It will also offer both sit-down dining and grab-and-go convenience options. Maki & Ramen joins a roster of brands at Lakeside Shopping Centre that includes new additions such as NEXT, Reiss, Toni & Guy, JD Sports, and Charles Tyrwhitt, all of which opened this year.

Places for London, Transport for London's property company, has acquired a number of retail properties in Brixton, London. The properties, located at 421-457 Brixton Road, are situated adjacent to Brixton Underground Station and have been acquired alongside a service yard. Tenants at the properties include HSBC, Five Guys, Sainsbury's, and Argos. Places for London said this acquisition aligns with its investment strategy to unlock revenue in the Capital that will be reinvested directly back into London’s transport infrastructure.
