Battersea Power Station in London has appointed strategic urban design practice Studio Egret West to evolve the original Rafael Viñoly masterplan for the remaining 16-acres of the 42-acre riverside neighbourhood. The new plans have the potential to create up to 3.2 million sq ft of residential, commercial, cultural, and leisure space. Yuzefi has opened its first store in London at 12 Aybrook Street within the new Marylebone Square mixed-use development. The luxury handbag brand's new space, which extends to approximately 1,000 sq ft, has been designed by DBM studio as a physical embodiment of the Yuzefi bag itself. Alexa Choynowski, adviser in the cross-border retail team at Savills, which acted for Yuzefi, said: “The Marylebone store is a strong example of how physical retail can act as a long-term home for a brand - combining location, design and heritage to create an immersive customer experience rather than simply a point of sale.

Crew Clothing is set to open a new store at Landsec's Bluewater shopping centre in Kent. The fashion retailer's 1,050 sq ft store represents a continued expansion from Crew Clothing, as it looks to strengthen its physical retail presence in key locations nationwide. Founded in the back of a windsurfing shop in Salcombe in 1993, Crew Clothing has aimed to build on its connection to the coast, with its range of clothing looking to champion British sport.
