JD Gyms is set to open at Harlequin Watford, with the fitness operator launching its first gym in the region. Spanning over 30,000 sq ft, the venue will serve as a regional flagship for JD Gyms. The space will look to deliver a fitness experience that combines a state-of-the-art gym and studio facilities with a huge range of cutting-edge equipment. The operator will join a mix of leading UK and international retail and leisure brands at Harlequin, including Uniqlo, Space NK, PuttShack, and Boom Battle Bar.

Immersive gaming concept Activate is set to join Harlequin Watford after signing for a 15,592 sq ft unit. The competitive socialising concept is being delivered by We Do Play, the group behind trampoline and indoor park operator Flip Out, which also has a venue at Harlequin Watford. The new venue will look to combine immersive gaming with technology-driven challenges, designed for groups of visitors.

The Entertainer is set to open its largest store in over a decade later this month at The Galleria outlet centre in Hatfield. The 8,000 sq ft space will be the toys and games retailer's first to trade under its new sub-brand "The Entertainer, Toys for Less". It will stock products from brands including Pokémon, One Piece, Toy Story 5, Paw Patrol and Barbie, with the majority selling for 30% less than in the retailer's other stores.
