Sorbon Estates has acquired a former Costa Coffee store at 162-168 High Street in Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire. The acquisition means the group has completed the site assembly for its proposed refurbishment and extension at 162-192 High Street. Sorbon Estates was advised by TW Keil, which also advised the group on a lease renewal for Fat Face at 176a High Street in December 2024, where a term of five years – without a break – was agreed.

CBRE Investment Management has sold a retail parade with associated residential properties in St Albans to a private buyer. The property at 29-31 St Peter's Street is to Costa Coffee and Vision Express, with two flats on the upper floors let on assured shorthold tenancies. The commercial aspects of the property have a weighted average unexpired lease term of 7.47 years to expiry and 5.44 years to break, with two lease renewals having been completed in September 2024.

Frasers Group, advised by Sovereign Centros from CBRE, has signed several new deals at Luton Point (formerly The Mall Luton) shopping centre. Leading the signings is fashion and home outlet, Choice, which has exchanged on a 13,400 sq ft store with a sales area of 7,000 sq ft. The new store is set to open in the first quarter of 2025. Meanwhile, bakery chain Greggs has agreed to relocate to a larger premises within the scheme, while children's toy retailer ToyTown recently opened a 6,700 sq ft store at Luton Point.
