B&M is preparing to open a new store at Atria Watford, taking residency in part of the former John Lewis department store. The discount retailer will be opening the doors to its new 21,092 sq ft store on Thursday. The store will offer a range including groceries, health and beauty products, homeware, electrical and DIY products, toys, games, and gifts. A spokesperson for B&M said the opening is an "important step" in the retailer's store expansion plans.

Indoor adventure park concept Flip Out is set to take a chunk of the former John Lewis department store at Atria Watford. Opening later this year, the 33,000 sq ft venue will offer a variety of activities such as dodgems, soft play, a gaming zone, roller-skating, donut slides, trampolines, and an inflatable area. Flip Out at Atria Watford will also house a Ninja Playground arena, featuring obstacles and tasks for friends and family to take each other on in a competitive environment.

Adventure Leisure is set to open a new Mr Mulligans crazy golf-led venue in Hemel Hempstead, after taking over the premises of three former restaurants. The leisure operator will amalgamate the former Frankie & Benny's, Chiquito, and Bella Italia units on Jarman Square to take 15,000 sq ft of space in the town centre. The venue – which will become Mr Mulligans' 13th in the UK – is set to feature a gaming-themed 18-hole course, as well as additional activities including electro-darts, ping pong, pool, virtual reality games, deck shuffle, and Mulligans' largest arcade zone yet.
