Outdoor recreation retailer Costwold Outdoor has signed for an 8,000 sq ft, triple fascia store at Merry Hill, along with its sister brands Runners Need and Snow + Rock. The brand will open on the Dudley scheme's upper level later this month, adjacent to Virgin Holiday's recently-relocated store. Combining Cotswold Outdoor, Runners Need, and Snow + Rock, the space will offer clothing, footwear, and accessories for activities such as walking, running, and winter sports.

Slim Chickens is set to open a 5,229 sq ft restaurant at Merry Hill in Dudley this May. The 'better chicken' brand's two-storey restaurant will have space for 175 covers and be located at one of the food court entrances to the scheme. The restaurant will look to strengthen the existing food and beverage offering at Merry Hill, offering a range of fried chicken including tenders and buffalo wings, alongside sandwiches and salads.

UNIQLO is set to open its first store in the Midlands at Hammerson's Bullring shopping centre in Birmingham. The 20,000 sq ft store will span three floors with a trading area of 11,840 sq ft, offering the brand's full range of clothing for men, women, and children.
