Redical has completed the acquisition of the Merry Hill retail and leisure destination in the West Midlands, in line with a deal agreed in principle reached late last year. Following the collapse of the scheme's previous owners at the outset of the Pandemic, the 1.4 million sq ft scheme has undergone a number of changes over the last five years under the leadership of its directors, supported by the scheme's asset manager Sovereign Centros from CBRE and property manager Savills.

Moss is set to relocate its Solihull store, taking on a larger unit at the Touchwood shopping centre. The menswear retailer has taken a 3,171 sq ft unit at the scheme, fronting onto Solihull High Street, on a new 15-year lease. Moss will join a number of major brands at Touchwood Solihull, including Apple – which tripled its presence at the scheme last year – as well as John Lewis, Zara, Mango, Rituals, Miele, Oliver Bonas, Space NK, and the recently-opened Sweaty Betty.

Sheet Anchor Evolve, part of M Core, has acquired a pair of mixed-use assets in Birmingham from Hortons. The group has acquired White House, which extends to 24,561 sq ft and comprises four retail units fronting on to New Street and Lower Temple Street which are let to operators including Tim Hortons.
