Oliver Bonas is set to relocate its store in York, with the fashion and homeware retailer moving from 35 Stonegate to the former Boots store 1 King's Square. The retailer will occupy the 2,164 sq ft ground floor of the building, with Helmsley Group – which agreed the letting – looking to transform the unused upper floors into residential accommodation. Subject to planning approval, the project will help realise Helmsley Group's aspirations to bring residential space to unused upper floors throughout the city.

Legal & General has sold a landmark building in York city centre to Buccleuch Property for £5.25m. Oxygen Activeplay is set to launch its new concept at a retail park in York as the brand seeks new sites nationwide. The leisure operator - formerly just 'Oxygen' - will open the 20,000 sq ft flagship at Clifton Moor Centre Retail Park in February 2024. Oxygen York, which is the first site designed under the brand's new Activeplay Concept, will open following an investment of £2.3m. Comprising ground floor and mezzanine spaces, the centre will feature parkour zones, inflatable obstacle courses, climbing challenges, party rooms, and a sensory baby and toddler park.
