Popeyes is set to join the food and beverage line-up at Lakeside Shopping Centre in Essex. The American fried chicken restaurant has taken a 1,750 sq ft restaurant on level three of the shopping centre, located in The Eatery. Opening next week, the operator will join existing restaurants at Lakeside including Five Guys and Taco Bell. This latest arrival continues a period of renewed expansion for Popeyes, and marks the brand's 80th opening in the UK.

The O2 has reported a record-breaking Easter period, following a Q1 during which sales were up by 7% year-on-year. During the Easter half term, sales at the destination increased by 14% compared to the same period in 2024, while footfall was up by 16%. The O2’s Entertainment District in particular benefited from the destination’s upsurge in half-term footfall, reporting record-breaking figures with a 14% year-on-year increase in sales.

Outlet Shopping at The O2 has welcomed the opening of three brands, all of which are making their outlet debuts in London. The arrivals of Kate Spade New York, Jack & Jones, and New Era follow a strong start to the year for the outlet shopping destination, with sales up by 8% year-on-year during the first quarter. Fashion retailer Kate Spade New York has opened within a 2,408 sq ft unit on the upper level at the main entrance to the centre, near complementary brands such as Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, and French Connection.
