Praxis Group has acquired 63 acres of Kings Hill town centre, a mixed-use development in Kent, adding almost half a million square feet of commercial space to its portfolio. The award-winning mixed use development is set within a landscaped parkland and is home to around 200,000 sq ft of retail and leisure facilities, as well as more than 50 businesses – including Rolex's UK headquarters – and over 3,200 homes.

Primark is set to open its first store in Royal Tunbridge Wells after acquiring the former BHS building in the town centre. The clothing retailer will trade from two floors in the unit which extends into the Royal Victoria Place shopping centre. The scheme was acquired last year by Tunbridge Wells Borough Council – which has been working with asset and development manager RivingtonHark to bring new brands to the scheme.

Savills Investment Management (IM) has disposed of a Waitrose food store in Kings Hill near Maidstone, Kent, to a private overseas investor. The 9,058 sq ft purpose-built store was held for nine years with its lease regeared and extended prior to the sale. The asset is let to Waitrose at c.£19.87 per sq ft until August 2038. Edgerley Simpson Howe represented Savills IM. Ward Properties and Trefilik & Co acted as joint agents for the purchaser.
