APAM has sold a retail park in Chester to a private investor for £5.5m. The group has offloaded Wheatbridge Retail Park, which spans 52,944 and is fully let to Wickes, Tapi Carpets, and Smyth Toys. The scheme produces a rental income of £544,488 per annum, equating to an average rent of £10.28 per sq ft. It is also supplement by 209 car parking spaces. The subject property is situated 12 miles south of Sheffield and 24 miles north of Derby, in the town’s main retail warehouse pitch.

Sheet Anchor Evolve, part of M Core, has acquired Vicar Lane, an open-air retail destination in Chesterfield, Derbyshire. Spanning 202,000 sq ft, the asset comprises 34 units let to a mixture of fashion, food, and essential service retailers. It is also supplemented by a 400-space car park. Tenants at Vicar Lane include JD Sports, H&M, Superdrug, Iceland, River Island, and The Works. The scheme also includes civic space at St James' Square, which features a 12 metre LED screen, and is adjacent to several regeneration projects such as the Chesterfield Waterside scheme and the future HS2 station.
