Wingstop, the American fried chicken chain, has opened its fourth site in Manchester at Parrs Wood Entertainment Centre in East Disbury. The restaurant operator – which is being rolled out in the UK by master franchisee Lemon Pepper Holdings – has opened a 3,400 sq ft site with space for 70 covers. Wingstop at Parrs Wood joins the brand's other locations in Manchester including restaurants at Piccadilly and the Trafford Centre, as well as its delivery hub in the city.

JD Sports is set to open the doors to a new store in Stockport this week, taking part of a former BHS store. Opening on Thursday 3rd October, The sports fashion retailer will occupy 13,000 sq ft of the former department store building within Merseyway Shopping Centre. The store will replace the retailer's existing two locations within Stockport town centre and offer a range of brands including Nike, Adidas, The North Face, Under Armour, Berghaus, Jordan, and Puma.

Muse has been named as the delivery and investment partner for a £500m mixed-use redevelopment of Wythenshawe Civic, south Manchester. In October 2023, Manchester City Council began the process to find a private sector partner that could invest and develop the site to meet regeneration targets set out in the town centre. The regeneration is set to create new shops, net-zero carbon commercial space, a new public square, community and cultural space, and over 1,750 new homes over the next 10 years.
