Multi-charity retailer Charity Super.Mkt is set to open its next pop-up store at <a href="https://completelyretail.co.uk/scheme/gloucesterquays-gloucester-2614">Gloucester Quays</a>, making its debut appearance at an outlet centre.



Opening on 14 March, the 4,000 sq ft store will bring the retailer's 'second-hand department store' concept to an entrance off High Orchard Street.



Charity Super.Mkt works with a number of charities and local operations to curate a collection of pre-loved fashion and accessories including vintage denim, sportswear, and streetwear. The Gloucester Quays store will introduce a rotation of partners throughout the duration of the pop-up in order to cater to high demand for space. Charity partners will include Havens Hospices, Longfield Hospice, Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, National Star, Traid and Acorn.



Charity Super.Mkt made its bricks-and-mortar debut at Brent Cross in early 2023, and has gone on to pop-up at a number of retail and leisure destinations, <a href="https://news.completelyretail.co.uk/bond-street-fenwick-store-to-make-way-for-charity-pop-up/">most recently at Fenwick Bond Street</a>.



The concept will add a unique offering to Gloucester Quays, and join the likes of PUMA, Timberland and Next.

This news follows Gloucester Quays' announcement of two awards in 2023, focused on its increased emphasis on ESG performance. Earlier in the year, Gloucester Quays became the first UK shopping environment to achieve ‘Net Zero Carbon – Operational Energy’, in line with UKGBC’s Net Zero Carbon Buildings Framework, and followed that up with a 3* GRESB accreditation.

Peel L&amp;P is celebrating a record year for leasing in 2023 at its South West outlet destination <a href="https://completelyretail.co.uk/scheme/gloucesterquays-gloucester-2614">Gloucester Quays</a>.



Over the course of the year, the outlet centre welcomed the likes of <a href="https://news.completelyretail.co.uk/puma-set-to-join-gloucester-quays/">PUMA</a>, <a href="https://news.completelyretail.co.uk/timberland-launch-meets-demand-at-gloucester-quays/">Timberland</a>, and <a href="https://news.completelyretail.co.uk/next-up-at-gloucester-quays/">Next</a>, and recorded year-on-year increases in footfall and sales of 5.5% and 6.5% respectively. 



The shopping destination also saw double-digit growth towards the end of the year, exceeding its footfall and sales targets. In December, footfall was up by 9.1% compared to 2022 as visitors shopped and dined during the festive period. In November and December combined, retail and F&amp;B spend increased year-on-year by 10.4% and 10.5% respectively. Retail was dominant in November, with sales increasing by 13.4%, before the emphasis shifted to food and beverage in December where sales grew by 12.7%.

<a href="https://completelyretail.co.uk/scheme/gloucesterquays-gloucester-2614">Gloucester Quays</a> could be put on the market with an £85m price tag, according to reports.



The scheme's owner, Peel Lifestyle Outlets, has appointed Cushman &amp; Wakefield to handle the sale, according to React News.



The centre was previously put up for sale in 2021 with an asking price of £105m.



Gloucester Quays first opened in 2009 following a £248m investment. It is home to brands such as Adidas, All Saints, Crew Clothing, FatFace, Jack Wills, and Ted Baker.



A further £60m development saw Cineworld open in 2009, as well as the arrival of a number of food and beverage operators. The scheme is now home to Bills, Cote Brasserie, Five Guys, Pizza Express, Nando's, and TGI Fridays, amongst others.



Recent arrivals at the <a href="https://completelyretail.co.uk/shops-to-rent/gloucester">Gloucester</a> development include Puma, Next Outlet, Roller Express, Claires, and pop-ups Calendar Club and Berrey's Pick 'n' Mix.



However, the scheme has recently lost key tenants such as Gap, Calvin Klein, and Nike.
