Parkgate retail park in Rotherham, Yorkshire has completed 17,000 sq ft of new lettings with the signings of The Food Warehouse and Mydentist. The Food Warehouse has taken a 12,500 sq ft unit adjacent to Morrisons on a 15-year term. Part of the Iceland Food Group, The Food Warehouse offers goods with larger pack sizes at value prices in stores often double the size of traditional Iceland locations.

Frasers Group has appointed Doncaster-based property consultancy Barnsdales to undertake the property and asset management of Frenchgate Shopping Centre. The retail group acquired the 770,000 sq ft Doncaster scheme – which is home to brands such as Next, H&M and TK Maxx – last Summer for an undisclosed feee. Jason Barnsdale, managing director of Barnsdales, said: “With its own transport hub, the Doncaster Interchange, and adjoining railway station, it’s certain that when people come to Doncaster, they come to the Frenchgate Shopping Centre.

The Frenchgate Centre in Doncaster, previously called the Arndale Centre, has been sold to Frasers Group for an undisclosed amount. The shopping centre is home to major brands such as Next, H&M and TK Maxx and is conveniently located near the main railway and bus stations. Frasers Group sees this deal as a sign of their belief in the future of physical stores. Michael Murray, CEO of Frasers Group, said that buying the Frenchgate Centre shows the company's commitment to investing in physical stores.
