Menswear retailer Moss is set to open its first store at Peel Retail &amp; Leisure's <a href="https://completelyretail.co.uk/scheme/gloucesterquays-gloucester-2614">Gloucester Quays</a> outlet centre.



The signing follows a flurry of retail activity at the scheme – which is celebrating its 15th anniversary – including the upcoming upsize of footwear retailer Skechers.



Moss, which has dropped 'Bros' from its name to rebrand as a more modern and diverse retailer, has agreed to take 1,948 sq ft of space with the store set to open in May.



Central to the store's offer will be Moss' spring/summer 2024 collection, as well as new seasonal style solutions to meet a growing demand for suits for workwear, weddings, races, proms, and black tie events.



The store will also offer a team of in-store stylists as well as host the brand's custom-made tailoring service.



Meanwhile, Skechers is set to upsize at Gloucester Quays, opening a new 4,500 sq ft store – 50% larger than its previous location – opposite Moss and Timberland. The new store will increase the available range of footwear for men, women, and children.



Sporting heritage clothing brand raging bull has also relocated, taking a 1,400 sq ft unit.

The news follows the recent announcement that <a href="https://news.completelyretail.co.uk/gloucester-quays-enjoys-record-sales-period-ahead-of-15th-anniversary/">Gloucester Quays experienced another period of record sales from April 2023 to March 2024</a>, with sales and footfall increasing by 11% and 7% respectively.

Peel Retail &amp; Leisure has announced a record period of sales and footfall at <a href="https://completelyretail.co.uk/scheme/gloucesterquays-gloucester-2614">Gloucester Quays</a>, as the outlet centre prepares to celebrate its 15th anniversary.



Between April 2023 and March 2024, the scheme recorded an increase in sales of 11%, whilst footfall was up by 7%.



Leading the increase in performance was the destination's retail offer, which saw sales increase by 12% during the period. Gloucester Quays benefitted from the arrival of brands such as Next and Puma, as well as upsizes from the likes of Mountain Warehouse, Hallmark, and Yankee Candle.



The destination's food and beverage offer also saw an increase in revenue year-on-year, with the 9.5% rise supported by the addition of Turkish restaurant brand Anatolian Palace. Whilst restaurants recorded an increase in sales of 6.6%, the centre's coffee shops saw the most growth, at 17%.



The 7% increase in footfall being outperformed by the 11% increase in sales suggests that not only is the destination attracting more customers, but that they are spending more on average.

Multi-charity retailer Charity Super.Mkt is set to open its next pop-up store at <a href="https://completelyretail.co.uk/scheme/gloucesterquays-gloucester-2614">Gloucester Quays</a>, making its debut appearance at an outlet centre.



Opening on 14 March, the 4,000 sq ft store will bring the retailer's 'second-hand department store' concept to an entrance off High Orchard Street.



Charity Super.Mkt works with a number of charities and local operations to curate a collection of pre-loved fashion and accessories including vintage denim, sportswear, and streetwear. The Gloucester Quays store will introduce a rotation of partners throughout the duration of the pop-up in order to cater to high demand for space. Charity partners will include Havens Hospices, Longfield Hospice, Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, National Star, Traid and Acorn.



Charity Super.Mkt made its bricks-and-mortar debut at Brent Cross in early 2023, and has gone on to pop-up at a number of retail and leisure destinations, <a href="https://news.completelyretail.co.uk/bond-street-fenwick-store-to-make-way-for-charity-pop-up/">most recently at Fenwick Bond Street</a>.



The concept will add a unique offering to Gloucester Quays, and join the likes of PUMA, Timberland and Next.

This news follows Gloucester Quays' announcement of two awards in 2023, focused on its increased emphasis on ESG performance. Earlier in the year, Gloucester Quays became the first UK shopping environment to achieve ‘Net Zero Carbon – Operational Energy’, in line with UKGBC’s Net Zero Carbon Buildings Framework, and followed that up with a 3* GRESB accreditation.
