Kiehl's marks 175th anniversary with Carnaby Street opening

Kiehl's has marked its 175th anniversary with the opening of a flagship space at 43 Carnaby Street in Soho, London. The beauty and wellness brand – which was founded in 1851 in New York – will open a 1,300 sq ft space, spanning three floors. The boutique offers a variety of cosmetic products including face creams and UV serums. The opening marks the second standalone boutique for Kiehl’s in the West End, joining 55 Monmouth Street, which was a recent upsize for the brand.

Battersea Power Station to welcome flurry of new brands in 2026

Battersea Power Station in London is set to welcome a number of new retailers and operators this year, bringing the total number of new entrants at the development in 2026 to 20. Pub and dining concept The Hero’s Return, Japanese restaurant Konjiki, Asian dining hotspot Noodle Inn, Virgin Atlantic Holidays, Mango Man, and fitness and lifestyle club, One City, are among some of the brands that will be joining the neighbourhood.

Independent pub group picks Covent Garden for newest venue

Ardent Pub Group has signed for a new venue, 'The Magpie', at Shaftesbury Capital's Covent Garden estate in London. The independent pub group – which operates The Cadogan Arms in Chelsea, The George in Fitzrovia, and The Hound in Chiswick – will take a 5,000 sq ft space at 142 Shaftesbury Avenue. The venue will span across three floors and serve 140 covers, joining a number of food and beverage operators at Covent Garden.
