Footasylum is set to reopen its upgraded Trafford Centre store in Greater Manchester. The opening forms the latest milestone in the footwear and sportswear retailer's UK retail expansion plans, following recent openings in Manchester Arndale, Trinity Leeds, and Merthyr Tydfil. Manchester's Trafford Centre is celebrating a strong growth in 2026, supported by new commitments from fashion brands at the scheme. The centre has welcomed a number of new openings and upsizes in the year-to-date from brands such as Garage, Stradivarius, Lululemon, and UNIQLO. Fashion has been a standout category at Trafford Centre, contributing to 65% of total sales growth in Q1 alone. Fashion category sales have also increased by 27.

Royton Square shopping centre in Greater Manchester is now fully let following scheme owner M Core's signing of an independent Indian restaurant operator. The operator has taken a 1,207 sq ft unit on a 10-year lease, bringing the 52,703 sq ft scheme to full occupancy across 34 retail units. Royton Square is located in the centre of Royton, a suburb of Oldham situated approximately eight miles northeast of Manchester.
