A Grade II-listed railway arch at London Bridge Station has been transformed into a space for food and beverage and leisure businesses following a refurbishment. Stephen George + Partners has worked with The Arch Company to redevelop the arch, which is situated amongst landmarks such as The Shard, City Hall, and Tower Bridge. Constructed between 1864 and 1866 and designed by Victorian architect Charles Henry Driver, the arch forms part of the final bay of the viaduct supporting the elevated London Bridge railway track.

Dolce&Gabbana has opened a combined beauty and accessories store, a first for the brand, at the Historic Market building in Covent Garden. This marks a return to the iconic London neighbourhood for the luxury and lifestyle brand, which opened a Christmas pop-up on the Piazza in 2022. The new store features Dolce&Gabbana's cosmetic and fragrance ranges, alongside accessories including eyewear, under one roof for the first time.

Birkenstock is set to open two new stores in London in 2025 as the footwear retailer sees an increase in sales. The German brand will open a permanent store on the King's Road in Chelsea, and a pop-up location in Shoreditch, Retail Gazette reports. This comes after Birkenstock reported a year-on-year increase in turnover of 25% to £59.8m in the 12 months to 30 September 2024. The brand also recorded a rise in operating profit of 42% to £1.
