Redical has announced the signing of children's play space, Kids Play Village, at The Liberty Romford. The 11,168 sq ft site – which is the operator's second – will open in October and feature 16 roleplay areas including a supermarket, a police station, and a beauty salon. The venue will also include a café, offering hot and cold drinks and sandwiches. Ikea has opened the first of three new smaller format stores in Harlow, Essex, with two more set to open in Norwich and Chester later this year. The new retail park locations look to offer a simpler and quicker shopping experience for customers, as part of Ikea's strategy to be closer to where people live, work, and shop. Ikea is to open the first of three new retail park stores at Harlow Retail Park in Harlow, Essex. The Harlow location features the homeware retailer's new 'small store' format, which has been developed to be significantly faster and more cost-effective to open than traditional Ikea stores. Ikea's new concept stores will be located on retail park locations, utilising the existing structure of the units, making them easier to put together.
