Club Padel has acquired a 1.09 acre site at Fisherman's Wharf in Shoreham, West Sussex. The padel club operator has secured planning consent for an indoor club featuring six courts, alongside changing rooms, parking, and a bar overlooking the courts. Works have already commenced and the club is set to open this autumn. NewRiver REIT and Mid Sussex District Council have formed a conditional agreement to create a joint venture, with the aim of regenerating of The Martlets Shopping Centre in Burgess Hill, Mid Sussex. The two parties will look to transform the 1970s-era shopping centre into a modern and vibrant retail and leisure destination in the heart of the town, creating new homes and jobs. The proposed development has planning consent to deliver 50,000 sq ft of new retail, including a 21,000 sq ft food store, as well as 172 new homes and a 102-room hotel.

Neve Jewels, trading as Diamonds Factory, is set to open its first UK boutique outside of the capital in Brighton. The jeweller has secured a five-year lease for a 325 sq ft space at 26b North Street in an off-market transaction. Neve Jewels operates across three brands: Diamonds Factory; Austen Blake; and Sacet. Diamonds Factory currently has boutiques in London, Paris, Berlin and Sydney. Alexander Denning of SHW, which acted for the landlord, said: “With our strong market knowledge in the South East retail sector we were aware of the requirement of Neve Jewels and proactively approached one our clients who had a shop due to be vacant, which matched the retailer’s requirements.
