Italian sportswear brand UYN has opened its first UK store in Cambridge, as it looks to expand to a number of different countries. The opening at 18 Market Street follows the brand's launch in Germany earlier this year. UYN, which stands for Unleash Your Nature, has 11 stores across Italy. Last year it entered the American market with the opening of an office in Boston and a manufacturing site in Pennsylvania.

The sale of a former Ministry of Defence (MoD) site in Cambridgeshire to a developer has been finalised. Urban&Civic have acquired Waterbeach Barracks near Cambridge after nine years as the MoD's development partner at the site. Now the developer, alongside the Defence Infrastructure Organisation, has secured outline planning consent for the development of the former airfield and barracks into new homes, schools, and a town centre with shops and services.

Amendments designed to limit the environmental effect of the Botanic Place workspace in Cambridge have been submitted to Cambridge County Council, the property developers, Railpen and Socius said. Botanic Place, located next to Cambridge University Botanic Garden on Hills Road, has existing planning consent for an architect-designed £500m, 500,000 sq. ft workspace scheme. The mixed use scheme will also create over 200 local jobs through the development of cafes, restaurants and a market hall.
