Merseyway Shopping Centre in Stockport is hailing a 2024 which saw four major store openings, 13 lease renewals, and an expected footfall of seven million visitors. Over the course of the year, the scheme has secured the letting of three major retailers – Tesco, Poundland, and Eyehut – and the relocation of JD Sports into a larger unit. Three new tenants at Merseyway are set to be announced in the New Year.

Manchester Arndale shopping centre is nearing full occupancy after a 2024 which saw the scheme welcome 23 brands for a total of 223,748 sq ft of space. Market Place in Bolton has welcomed the opening of five new stores within the last six months, totalling over 33,000 sq ft of space. Leading the new arrivals is Primark, which relocated from its existing store at Crompton Place Shopping Centre to a 26,300 sq ft unit within the former Debenhams store. The new store – which forms part of Primark's £100m investment into its UK store estate – features a modern layout with self-checkout facilities and LED lighting.
