Railpen's proposals to develop Beehive, a 1 million sq ft lab-led mixed use scheme in Cambridge, have been green lit by the Rt Hon Steve Reed OBE, the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities, and Local Government. Starbucks has opened a redesigned coffeeshop at Railpen's Cambridge Retail Park. Spanning 2,000 sq ft, the new store is set in a unique café garden which includes a children's play area and a pedestrianised link from Newmarket Road, providing access for local residents. The opening forms part of the first phase of an extensive investment programme at Cambridge Retail Park. Maria Averkina, asset and development manager at Railpen, said: "The opening of Starbucks is the exciting first stage of the transformation of Cambridge Retail Park, and its design and sustainability credentials are of the highest standards.
