Wine bar operator Vagabond is set to open its first new high street location outside of London on Brighton's Duke Street. Spanning 2,980 sq ft, the new venue, which was formerly occupied by Browns Brasserie, is set to open in late autumn following a refurbishment. The opening will mark Vagabond's first foray into the capital since its Birmingham launch in 2021. The venue will feature the brand's range of signature self-pour wine machines, offering a selection of over 100 wines by the glass, including a host of English wines produced at Vagabond’s own Urban Winery in Canada Water.

Club Padel has acquired a 1.09 acre site at Fisherman's Wharf in Shoreham, West Sussex. The padel club operator has secured planning consent for an indoor club featuring six courts, alongside changing rooms, parking, and a bar overlooking the courts. Works have already commenced and the club is set to open this autumn. Andrew Halfacree, director at Flude Property Consultants, which acted for Club Padel, said: “We are delighted to have assisted Club Padel with their expansion plans through this acquisition.

NewRiver REIT and Mid Sussex District Council have formed a conditional agreement to create a joint venture, with the aim of regenerating of The Martlets Shopping Centre in Burgess Hill, Mid Sussex. The two parties will look to transform the 1970s-era shopping centre into a modern and vibrant retail and leisure destination in the heart of the town, creating new homes and jobs. The proposed development has planning consent to deliver 50,000 sq ft of new retail, including a 21,000 sq ft food store, as well as 172 new homes and a 102-room hotel.
