Black Sheep Coffee and Krispy Kreme are set to open their first stores at Gatwick Airport, opening outlets across both terminals.



The Restaurant Group-operated Giraffe World Kitchen will also be extending its presence in the South Terminal.



Café chain Black Sheep Coffee will have two locations at the airport - one landside in the South Terminal and one airside in the North Terminal - whilst doughnut specialist Krispy Kreme will opening airside in the North Terminal.



Giraffe World Kitchen will be expanding by some 1,281 sq ft to accommodate almost 60 more covers as well as a new bar area.



Scottish beer company BrewDog is also set to open at the airport later this year.



In July, <a href="https://news.completelyretail.co.uk/greggs-takes-off-at-gatwick/">Greggs launched its first shop in a London airport</a> at Gatwick’s South Terminal, opening in a 1,600 sq ft store.

Greggs has opened its first shop in a <a href="https://completelyretail.co.uk/shops-to-rent/london">London</a> airport at Gatwick's South Terminal, as the bakery chain looks beyond the high street.



The 1,600 sq ft shop is Greggs' eighth airport location as it aims to hit its target of opening 150 net new stores in 2023.



The Gatwick launch follows on from a number of recent openings in key UK transport hubs, including at <a href="https://completelyretail.co.uk/shops-to-rent/glasgow">Glasgow</a> International Airport, Shepherds Bush Underground Station, and Canary Wharf Station.



Located at the South Arrivals section of the airport, Greggs at Gatwick Airport will be open 24 hours a day and sell the chain's full menu.



Tony Rowson, property director at Greggs, said: "Our versatile shop formats, new digital channels and relationships with our franchise and wholesale partners have enabled us to adapt our offering and expand in many new locations such as supermarkets, shopping centres and key transport hubs, like the Gatwick Airport."

Sainsbury's has opened the doors to its 10th 'Neighbourhood Hub' store to customers in Henfield, West Sussex.



As part of the grocer's new concept, the 5,554 sq ft store is a food-led interpretation of Sainsbury's traditional offering, with its size sitting somewhere between that of a convenience store and a traditional supermarket.



Sainsbury's hopes that the new concept will be the best "in neighbourhood" offer.



The Henfield store will also offer a click-and-collect service, with products from Sainsbury's Argos, Habitat, and TU Clothing ranges available for online ordering.



Sainsbury's will also be working with Horsham District Foodbank via its partner charity Neighbourly to contribute to the retailer's food donation programme.



Patrick Dunne, Sainsbury's property director, said that the new store will operate using 100% renewable energy and LED lighting, as the supermarket retailer looks to become net zero by 2035.
