One of the country's largest shopping centres, it's been a busy few months at The Mall at Cribbs Causeway in Bristol. The scheme has recently welcomed new tenants, investment from existing retailers, and has played a part in the development of the wider area. Centre owner M&G Real Estate also recently extended its ownership. Sovereign Centros by CBRE's Iain Minto, senior director of asset management, and Katie Searle, director of asset management, spoke to Completely Retail News about what's new at Cribbs Mall.

Waitrose will open a full-line store for the first time in seven years in Brabazon, a new town in North Bristol. The supermarket retailer's 30,000 sq ft store is expected to open in 2027 and marks the first major commercial partnership announced at Brabazon. The store will be located on the A38 Gloucester Road at the gateway to Brabazon, 500m from a new train station which is expected to open in 2026.

LondonMetric Property has acquired a logistics warehouse in Bristol for £74m, reflecting a net initial yield of 5.65%. The 390,000 sq ft warehouse is pre-let to Marks & Spencer on a 20-year lease with five-yearly upwards-only rent reviews linked to the consumer price index. It is located at Axis Works in Bristol, adjacent to other LondonMetric warehouse investments in Avonmouth. The asset is being developed by Epta Development Corporation and its partner Stoford.
