Property consultancy firm Carter Jonas has been appointed as the sole leasing agent for The Sovereign shopping complex in Weston-Super-Mare. The firm was appointed by Montagu Evans on behalf of North Somerset Council. Spanning around 118,000 sq ft of retail space, The Sovereign has recently undergone an extensive refurbishment in recent years, with the remodelled space playing host to flexible workspaces, studios, a bike hub, and a coffee shop in addition to its retail offering.

Poundland is readying up to open three new stores on Saturday (April 8th). A 5,100 sq ft store at Queensway Centre in Weston-super-Mare will join a number of Poundland sites which have been diversifying their offering with a selection of frozen food. It will also sell a selection of Pep clothing and home items. The discount retailer will also be opening a new store at its hometown, Burton, commemorating the occasion with a blue plaque.
