Australian homewares retailer Harvey Norman is set to expand its UK presence with the opening of a new store and headquarters at The Gracechurch Centre in Royal Sutton Coldfield, near Birmingham. This comes after the retailer opened its debut store in England at Merry Hill in October 2024. The opening represents the first in a number of planned investments across the West Midlands, as part of the business' wider UK and global expansion drive.

LCP, part of property and investment collective M Core, has signed Fast Fitness as the latest tenant at M Chelmsley Wood in Solihull. The independent gym operator has taken a 6,924 sq ft store on a 10-year lease. Having undergone a new fit-out, Fast Fitness provides equipment for cardio, strength training, and functional exercises, with facilities such as lockers, showers, and changing rooms.

Property management company Estama has been appointed by Panther Securities to oversee the Britannia Shopping Centre in Hinckley, Leicestershire. The 85,000 sq ft scheme – the only enclosed retail destination in the town – is home to a number of nationally-renowned brands such as Poundstretcher, Boots, Peacocks, and Greggs. The appointment marks a continuation in Estama's expansion within the retail management sector, which has seen it pick up mandates at Queen Elizabeth Park, Wrexham, Northamptonshire, Cheshire, and County Durham in 2024.
