Highcross Leicester has welcomed HADO, the world's first augmented reality (AR) techno-sport to the centre as part of a two-week pop-up. Located in the former North Face unit on the upper mall, the pop-up looks to combine real-world sport with digital gameplay, enables visitors to compete on a real-world court while wearing AR headsets and wrist sensors, allowing them to shoot digital energy balls, raise shields, and dodge attacks in real time.

Korean beauty brand PURESEOUL is set to open its first store in the East Midlands at Highcross in Leicester. The fast-growing retailer will take a 1,759 sq ft unit on the scheme's lower mall, near Earnest Jones Jewellers. Opening in May, the new location joins PURESEOUL's existing UK stores in cities such as Brighton, London, and Manchester. Also joining Highcross Leicester is footwear retailer Office, which will open in a 3,369 sq ft unit.

Highcross Leicester completed nine new lettings and saw continued investment from existing tenants in 2025, its first year under the management of a new centre director. Since the appointment of Michelle Menezes, brands such as Mango, Wingstop, Maki & Ramen, and Space NK opened their first locations in Leicester at the scheme, which also welcomed the likes of Rituals, Superdrug, Nomination, Austen & Blake, and Bill’s.
