Crown Estate Scotland has acquired Seafield Retail Park in Edinburgh for £5,724,500 from Rankeilor Properties. Extending to 24,815 sq ft, the scheme comprises five units, fully let to Halfords, Connection Flooring, McGuirks Golf, Greggs, and Subway, producing an annual rental income of £428,630.. The retail park also benefits from electric vehicle charging stations, operated by FOR:EV. Rankeilour Properties acquired the property in late 2020 and have since implemented an active asset management strategy, which included the subdivision of Unit 3, now let to Greggs & Subway, as well as introducing EV charging to the park.

Mitchells & Butlers is set to open a new restaurant in Edinburgh after completing the off-market acquisition of the Charwood Bar and Grill on Buckstone Terrace from a private seller. The group – which operates multiple brands including Browns, All Bar One, Nicholsons and Vintage Inns – will reopen the 6,000 sq ft site later this year as a Miller & Carter Steakhouse following a £2m refurbishment.

Unibail-Rodamco-Wesftield (URW) has acquired a 25% stake in Edinburgh's St James Quarter from Nuveen. The scheme's majority owner, APG, will retain its 75% stake. Under the terms of the new joint ownership URW will manage the asset, and the scheme will be rebranded as a Westfield destination in 2026. Extending to 80,300 sq ft, the mixed-use St James Quarter comprises 110 retail, dining, and leisure units alongside 152 apartments.
