Breitling has opened its upsized store at St James Quarter, more than doubling its presence at the Edinburgh shopping destination. The Swiss watchmaker's new store spans circa 1,000 sq ft, and showcases a wider range of timepieces. Located on the Quarter's mid-level, it also introduces new features, such as a bar and pool table. Breitling rejoins St James Quarter's existing range of jewellery brands, which includes fellow Watches of Switzerland brand Goldsmiths.

St James Quarter in Edinburgh has welcomed a raft of investment from three food and beverage operators. Itsu has reopened at the shopping destination, now operating as a company-run restaurant, the site having previously been a franchisee. Trading from a 2,000 sq ft space, Itsu will offer sushi, rice, and noodle bowls, as well as a range of Asian salads and snacks. Meanwhile, Black Sheep Coffee has signed for a second location at St James Quarter.

Schuh is set to open a flagship Scottish store at St James Quarter in Edinburgh. The footwear brand has agreed to take a 5,500 sq ft space on Level One of the Galleria, joining retailers such as Superdrug, Boots, and Moss. Schuh's new store will feature the brand's revamped concept, which includes digital screens, a redesigned layout, and updated product displays. The arrival of Schuh – which itself was founded in Edinburgh – will bring Level One of St James Quarter to 100% let.
