Experiential events specialist Immersive Everywhere is set to open a 19,000 sq ft Peppa Pig-themed concept at Gateshead's Metrocentre. Opening later this year, 'PEPPA PIG: Surprise Party' will be designed for children aged one to six years, and feature themed birthday party rooms, a retail offering, food and drink options, and a gift shop. The multimillion pound project marks a significant milestone for Immersive Everywhere, which enters its first-ever partnership with a shopping centre.

Jewells, a jewellery brand from the creator of Lovisa, is set to open a new store at Eldon Square in Newcastle. The brand – which was founded by Brett Bundy and is aimed towards a young female audience – will be arriving at Eldon Square at the end of May for its first and only site in the North of England. The 1,000 sq ft store will be located next to Molton Brown and join six other Jewells locations opening on 30th May.

Competitive socialising concept Activate will open its second venue in the UK at Gateshead's Metrocentre. The technology-led gaming concept joins a number of other leisure operators at Metrocentre, including Treetop Golf, Clip 'n Climb, Namco Funscape, and The Escapologist. The concept, which launched in Canada in 2017, has 60 locations across North America and Dubai. It was brought to the UK by We Do Play, the experiential leisure group behind the Flip Out, Putt Putt Social, and Boom Battle Bar brands.
