Lidl takes former Wilko store off Sutton High Street

Lidl is set to open a new store within a former Wilko unit at 78-82 High Street in Sutton. The supermarket retailer has agreed a 20-year lease with Sutton Council for the unit, which will span 28,000 sq ft at ground floor level. Lidl has now begun construction of the new store, which is set to open early next year. Max Clapton, regional head of property at Lidl GB, said: "We’ve seen demand for our products continue to rise in Sutton and are excited to serve even more of the community here.

GAP to return to UK outlet market at Wembley Park

GAP is set to make its return to the UK outlet market at London Designer Outlet (LDO) in Wembley Park. The clothing retailer will open a 5,600 sq ft store at the outlet shopping destination, offering menswear, womenswear, and childrenswear collections. Opening its first standalone UK outlet store, GAP will join other international fashion brands at LDO including Levi's, Calvin Klein, and Tommy Hilfiger.

Arket opens fourth UK store in Chelsea

Arket has opened its fourth retail space in the UK on Chelsea's King's Road. The new store, situated at 196-222 King's Road, spans 5,608 sq ft across two levels and offers a range of clothing and accessories for men, women, and children, along with body care and interior products. Arket's newest location joins its existing stores in Regent Street, Covent Garden, and Selfridges. Pernilla Wohlfahrt, managing director of Arket, said: “We are very happy to further expand our presence in London with the opening of a new store in Chelsea.
