Wittington Investments sells Newcastle retail block

Forge Commercial Property has sold a retail block in Newcastle on behalf of Wittington Investments (WIPL) to a French investment firm. The property, located at 60-62 Northumberland Street, is located opposite the main entrance to Eldon Square and comprises 26,850 sq ft of retail accomodation. Inditex takes Metrocentre footprint to over 65,000 sq ft with Bershka signing

Global fashion group Inditex is set to increase its footprint at Gateshead's Metrocentre to over 65,000 sq ft after signing for a new Bershka store. Bershka will open a 16,000 sq ft unit in Red Mall, joining other Inditex brands Stradivarius and Zara. The new store will feature a full product range that spans womenswear, menswear, teen clothing, and accessories. Bershka will join a number of brands within Metrocentre's fashion lineup, including Urban Outfitters, River Island, Mango, H&M, Flannel, and the upcoming Hollister store.

Multimillion pound retail development opens in Sunderland

A multimillion pound retail development in Sunderland has now opened and has been brought to market. Located on the site of the former Farringdon Hall Police Station and adjacent land, the fully-let retail park spans 32,452 sq ft and is home to a B&M Homestorea with a garden centre, a Costa Drive-thru, Greggs, Dicksons Butchers, The Tanning Shop, and Westway Vets.
