Arc'teryx has chosen Manchester for its first store in the UK outside of London, opening opposite the Arndale Centre. Situated at New Cathedral Street, the store will open this summer and will become the outdoor brand's fourth location in the UK, joining stores in Covent Garden, Piccadilly, and Battersea Power Station. Trafford Centre in Manchester has secured a major leasing deal with the Inditex fashion group, which will see the relocation of the existing Zara and Pull&Bear stores as well as the arrival of Bershka. All three of the stores are due to open at the end of the summer and will occupy separate flagship stores on Peel Avenue. The expansions of Zara and Pull&Bear alongside the arrival of Bershka – which joins Trafford Centre for the first time – will look to provide a better shopping experience through larger improved stores and the introduction of a new brand.

The LEGO Group is set to build on its success at Manchester Arndale with the opening of an upsized store at the shopping centre. The toy brand will be taking the former Morphe unit next door to its current store – which it has occupied for almost 15 years – increasing its presence from 2,934 sq ft to 7,434 sq ft. LEGO's new store will include features such as a 'Pick a Brick Wall', a 'Build a Minifigure Tower', and opportunities for hands-on play such as free build challenges and events.
