Roxy Leisure will open its second venue in <a href="https://completelyretail.co.uk/shops-to-rent/nottingham">Nottingham</a> and its first in the city under the Roxy Lanes concept.



Roxy Ball Room The Cornerhouse Nottingham will offer a range of activities including ten-pin bowling, American pool, beer pong, karaoke rooms, batting cages, shuffleboard, tech darts and ice-free curling.



Joel Mitchell, commercial manager at Roxy Leisure, said: "Since opening our largest Roxy Ball Room venue in Nottingham on The Cornerhouse back in 2017, the site has always received the up-most support from the locals. 



"We're really looking forward to bringing our Roxy Lanes concept to the city."



Founded in 2013 in Leeds, Roxy Leisure now operates 18 sites across the UK. It was recently reported that the<a href="https://news.completelyretail.co.uk/roxy-ballroom-eyes-first-london-venue/"> group is looking to open its first Roxy Ballroom in London</a> at 33 St Mary Axe in the City.

Corporate recovery specialist Begbies Traynor has acquired <a href="https://completelyretail.co.uk/shops-to-rent/nottingham">Nottingham</a>-based firm SDL Property Auctions for £2.5m.



The auctioneers will be integrated with Begbies Traynor's property advisory and transactional services division, Eddistons.



Should SDL Property Auctions maintain revenue in the 12 months following the acquisition, it may earn an extra £0.75m added onto the transaction's value.



Begbies Traynor said the acquisition - which will see 46 members of staff join the group - will enable it to broaden its geographical coverage across the Midlands.



The group acquired Eddistons in 2014 and has since made a number of further acquisitions as it looks to increase the scale and quality of its business. In recent times, this has included <a href="https://news.completelyretail.co.uk/sheffield-surveyors-snapped-up-by-begbies-traynor/">the snapping up of Sheffield-based Mark Jenkinson &amp; Son in March</a>, <a href="https://news.completelyretail.co.uk/begbies-traynor-acquires-lincoln-property-consultancy/">and Lincoln-based Banks Long &amp; Co. in May</a>.



Begbies Traynor said the combined teams will be one of the largest property auctioneers by value nationally.

Begbies Traynor acquires Nottingham-based property auctioneers

FHP Property Consultants has secured three deals in <a href="https://completelyretail.co.uk/shops-to-rent/nottingham">Nottingham</a> city centre on behalf of private landlords.



Rudy's Pizza, which now has over 20 UK sites, has completed a letting for the former FCUK building at 6-10 Victoria Street. The building is now undergoing a fit-out of the ground and basement floors in preparation for an opening in late November.



Regional jeweller Grace &amp; Co has secured the former TM Lewin unit at 17 St Peter's Gate. The building - which sits between White Company and Molton Brown - has seen refurbishment at ground and first floor with the upper levels converted to residential accommodation. The letting brings Grace &amp; Co's total store count to 11.



Meanwhile, tea shop Bird &amp; Blend has relocated from its previous spot at Victoria Street to a larger unit at 24 Bridlesmith Gate. The new store spans 1,193 sq ft of trading space over two floors.



Oliver Marshall, director at FHP Property Consultants, said: “It is always great to bring new tenants to the city and to relocate existing ones to secure their long-term commitments to Nottingham. These are three really strong brands in different sectors that really add to the vitality of the city centre and crucially help us to attract other new operators for the city.”
