New Look has opened its largest concept store to-date at Metrocentre after trading for over 20 years at the Gateshead scheme. The fashion retailer's new 11,000 sq ft space offers an expanded range of womenswear, accessories, and product's from New Look's 915 Teen range. The store also offers and extended range of services including click-and-collect, self-service returns, order-in-store and digital browsing.

Hollister has opened its largest regional store at Metrocentre, as Timberland makes it North East debut at the Gateshead scheme. Opening in a 6,000 sq ft store on the scheme's Lower Red Mall, Hollister brings its range of apparel, accessories, and fragrances to Metrocentre. It joins a number of other fashion retailers at the centre, including Stradivarius, Zara, and Mango. Meanwhile, Timberland has taken a 2,567 sq ft unit at Metrocentre's Upper Red Mall.

Metrocentre in Gateshead has completed the refurbishment of The Crescent, an 11-unit retail hub designed for local and independent businesses to trial retailing within the scheme. Units within The Crescent have been refurbished, 60% of which are currently under offer. Tenants within The Crescent will be able to join a retail lineup at Metrocentre that includes retail giants such as Zara, Hollister, and Sephora, as well as Bershka and Lefties which are set to join the scheme later this year.
