POP MART to open first Newcastle store at Eldon Square

POP MART is set to open its first store in Newcastle at Eldon Square. Opening this week, the 1,000 sq ft store will offer the retailer's selection of collectibles, from brands such as SKULLPANDA, HIRONO, DIMOO and The Monsters, alongside a range of collectible figures, plush toys, and lifestyle products. Landsec acquires Gateshead's Metrocentre for £516m

Landsec has exchanged contracts to acquire a 100% stake on the Metrocentre shopping centre in Gateshead for a net cash consideration of £516m. With 1.86 million sq ft of lettable floorspace, Metrocentre is home to 282 stores and generates annual retail sales of approximately £650m. The acquisition also includes an adjacent retail park, which covers 0.2 million sq ft of retail space across 15 units.

Crocs snaps up first outlet store in the North East at Dalton Park

Crocs is set to open its first outlet store in the north east of England at Dalton Park outlet shopping centre in County Durham this autumn. The retailer will open a 1,530 sq ft store which will stock the brand's iconic clogs alongside a range of other footwear, including sandals, as well as accessories. The arrival of Crocs follows a series of new additions to Dalton Park, including the recent openings of Belstaff and TFG London’s multi-brand Hobbs, Phase Eight and Whistles store.
