Durham retail park handed £12m price tag

A retail park in Durham has been brought to market with a price tag of £12,000,000, reflecting a net initial yield of 8%. Dragonville Retail Park spans approximately 100,000 sq ft and comprises 15 units ranging in size between 656 sq ft and 30,000 sq ft. The scheme is anchored by Aldi, Iceland, Tk Maxx, and Matalan, with other tenants at the retail park including Greggs, Card Factory, Barnardo's, Dominoes, Salvation Army, and Poundstretcher.

Under-construction North Yorkshire outlet centre announces 19 new signings

Scotch Corner Designer Village, an outlet shopping destination set to open in 2027, has announced the signing of 19 new tenants. Located at the Scotch Corner junction near Darlington, the development is now 82% let and will be home to 73 stores when it opens in Spring 2027. The new signings which have been announced include Guess, Castore, Monsoon, Jack & Jones, Molton Brown, Brook Taverner, White Stuff, Haribo, Lindt, Superdry, Radley London, Hobbs, Phase Eight, and M&S.

Developer starts work on Darlington retail park

Northern development firm Almscliffe-Dhesi (AD) has begun work to transform a derelict industrial site in north west Darlington, County Durham, into a multi-let retail park. Construction work has commenced on the site and is scheduled to finish this September. Occupiers that have already signed for units at the scheme include Costa Coffee, Greggs, Indigo Sun, Harrison Vets, and Fastnet. A portion of the site has also been sold to McDonald's, which is constructing its own unit at the entrance.
