The Shires Gateway Bythesea Road, Trowbridge, BA14 8AT

The Shires Gateway is a new retail development in the centre of Trowbridge. The proposed scheme includes 75,350 sq ft (7,000 sq m) of retail floor space, a significant proportion of this will be provided in larger units from 6,554 sq ft to 22,040 sq ft (excl. mezz). The development responds to an identified need for additional retailing in Trowbridge, recognised deficiencies in the town centre's provision and the high level of retailer demand, as well as the physical and locational suitability of the site to accommodate retail uses.

Already trading from the development are Next, New Look, Boots, Argos and Brantano with Asda and the Shires Shopping Centre located directly opposite.

The site is a short distance from Wiltshire County Hall and immediately opposite the main entrance to the Shires Shopping Centre and the Asda superstore. The site has an extensive frontage to Bythesea Road of approximately 155 metres with a further frontage to Stallard Street of approximately 22 metres. Vehicular access to the site is gained via Bythesea Road. Trowbridge provides easy access onto the main A350 arterial route leading north to junction 17 of the M4 motorway approximately 16 miles and south to the A303 approximately 15 miles.
