Resilienti working in partnership with Barnsley Metropolitan Council are carrying out a substantial redevelopment of Hoyland town centre and have already completed the works on the car park located on Duke / West Street and have relocated the town market.

Construction has commenced on two prominently positioned sites at the heart of Hoyland town centre. The redevelopment is to include up to 23,500 sq ft of retail with pre-lets agreed with Boyes and Ladbrokes.

Occupiers located within close proximity of the site include Barclays Bank, Cooperative Food, Cooplands, Fultons Food and William Hill.

The upper floors will be developed separately to provide 30 plus residential units.

Hoyland is a popular market town located 5 miles south of Barnsley and 2 miles east of junction 36, M1. The town centre benefits from a regular market (open Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday). The town centre redevelopment is under construction on two sites: • Site B – is located on Market Street, the 4 proposed retail units are to comprise of a prominent position within the town centre. The site comprises of 4 retail units and 56 car parking spaces. • Site C – is situated adjacent to the existing Co-operative food store and the recently constructed Health Centre and Library. Opposite the site is the newly relocated market with upgraded car parking.
