The White Company is set to open its second store in Essex at Lakeside Shopping Centre in West Thurrock. Opening in spring 2026, the 5,000 sq ft store will offer products across clothing, home, fragrance, bedding, and the Little White Company children's range. The store will be one of four new openings in spring for the brand across the UK. The White Company joins a number of premium brands at Lakeside, including H Beauty, Reiss, Charles Tyrwhitt, and Chisholm Hunter.

Lakeside Shopping Centre in West Thurrock, Essex, has appointed Nancy Foster as centre director. Foster has over 15 years of senior leadership experience, joining from Fenwick Colchester where she held the position of store director. In this role, which included additional responsibilities for group store operations. Before her time at Fenwick, she was head of store operations and transformation at Debenhams, where she directed national-scale transformation programmes across 178 stores.

Landsec has secured a resolution to grant planning permission for the phased redevelopment of Lewisham Shopping Centre in South London. The proposals include a permanent home for Lewisham's Model Market, a 500-capacity culture, music, and arts venue, and new green public space. In addition, the redevelopment is set to deliver a reimagined shopping centre alongside over 1,700 new homes, 660 student beds, and 445 co-living residencies.
