A Belfast retail park has welcomed the first JD Gyms location in Northern Ireland as part of a duo of signings. The gym operator has opened a 23,000 sq ft site at Hillview Retail Park, following a £2.05m investment. Trade retailer Screwfix has also opened at the scheme, with the two signings bringing the retail park's occupancy rate to 90%. Hillview Retail Park now has just one 8,530 sq ft vacant unit remaining, whilst one drive-through and one drive-to site are also available.

Rituals has opened its largest UK store at Victoria Square in Belfast, as the scheme welcomes over 40,000 sq ft of new brands in 2023. The cosmetics retailer has opened a 3,530 sq ft upsized store on the lower floor, adjacent to Ted Baker. The opening also marks the debut of Rituals' new store concept which will be rolled out nationwide. Rituals at Victoria Square has also been joined by beauty and make-up brand Sculpted by Aimee, which makes its debut in Northern Ireland.

Pret a Manger is set to make its debut in Northern Ireland with an opening in Belfast City Centre. Launching later this year, the shop will be operated by Pret's long-standing franchisee, Carebrook Partnership. The coffee shop in Donegall Square West will be Pret a Manger's fourth on the island of Ireland, having already opened three in Dublin over the last 18 months. The chain has plans to open a further 20 shops across the island over the next decade.
