L&G offloads £10.4m Nottinghamshire leisure park

Legal & General (L&G) has sold Mansfield Leisure Park in Nottinghamshire for £10.37m, reflecting a net initial yield of 9.74%. The asset was acquired by a private property company controlled by two Irish investors. Spanning 75,052 sq ft, the leisure park is anchored by an eight-screen Odeon cinema and a recently regeared bingo hall let to Club 3000. It also comprises a three-unit restaurant parade let to Nando's, Bella Italia, and Serenity, alongside a McDonald's drive-through which has also recently been regeared.

Former Chesterfield M&S gets new lease of life with Tesco signing

Tesco is set to open a new store on Chesterfield High Street after signing as the new tenant at the former Marks & Spencer building. The building, located at 2-8 High Street, has been vacant since M&S relocated to Ravenside Retail Park in 2022 after decades of trading. The ground floor has since been split into three units, with the central 5,000 sq ft space now set to accommodate a Tesco Express store.

Sheet Anchor Evolve, part of M Core, has acquired 9, 11-13 Market Place in Chesterfield, a retail asset comprising two units, let to Card Factory and Primark. This follows Sheet Anchor Evolve’s acquisition of Chesterfield's Vicar Lane Shopping Centre in June this year. Chris Daly, director at Sheet Anchor Evolve, said; “This acquisition builds on our long-term investment in Chesterfield and reflects our confidence in the town’s continued evolution.
