Select, a premium Apple reseller, has upsized at Telford Centre, relocating from a 1,400 sq ft unit into a 2,000 sq ft store. The enlarged store showcases an extended range of Apple products including iPhone, iPad, Mac and AirPods, while also offering technical support. This comes as 19,000 sq ft of new or repurposed space scheduled to open in the coming months at Telford Centre. M Core has acquired Southwater Square, a 99,000 sq ft leisure scheme in Telford, Shropshire. The scheme is anchored by a line-up of national operators including Cineworld, Premier Inn, Miller & Carter, Zizzi, Willow, Pizza Express, Nando's, and Bella Italia. The asset also benefits from a 602-space multi-storey car park as well as access from Junction 5 of the M54. LCP UK, part of M Core, will manage the asset.

A shopping centre in Shropshire could be demolished under plans to support a regeneration project in Shrewsbury town centre. Proposals to demolish Riverside Shopping Centre have been recommended for approval ahead of a planning committee meeting in March. Under the proposals a medical centre, a police station, a former nightclub, and bridges connecting the scheme to a car park and the closed Pride Hill Shopping Centre will also be demolished.
