Norwich's Anglia Square regeneration gets £19m funding boost

Norwich City Council has been granted an additional £19m funding boost from Homes England to regenerate the distressed Anglia Square shopping centre. This comes after the council acquired the shopping centre from Columbia Threadneedle at the end of 2024. Norwich City Council is planning to transform Anglia Square into a vibrant and modern hub and deliver around 1,100 new homes, business opportunities, and jobs.

Norwich City Council has acquired Anglia Square Shopping Centre from Columbia Threadneedle Investments, as the local authority takes a step forward in revitalising part of the city. The purchase marks a milestone in plans to transform Anglia Square into a vibrant and modern hub, with the council looking to deliver around 1,100 new homes, business opportunities, and jobs. The site was acquired after a number of years of uncertainty surrounding the site and several failed redevelopment attempts.

EE opens flagship experience store at Norwich's Chantry Place

Real estate asset and investment manager Catella APAM has completed a 10-year lease agreement with EE to bring the telecommunications brand to Chantry Place in Norwich. Taking a 5,800 sq ft space, EE has opened an 'experience store', which features different zones dedicated to different technologies. Customers at the new store are able to explore products such as broadband, smart TVs, speakers, and gaming consoles.
