Immersive mini-golf operator Treetop Golf is set to open at <a href="https://completelyretail.co.uk/shops-to-rent/bristol">Bristol's</a> <a href="https://completelyretail.co.uk/scheme/cabot-circus-bristol-3804">Cabot Circus</a>, marking its first location in the city, and its sixth in the UK.



The 17,000 sq ft venue will host two 18-hole mini-golf courses, as well as a food and beverage offering within 'The Market', which includes pizza, cocktails, coffee, and snacks.



Treetop Golf at Cabot Circus will look to offer something for all ages, with guests able to make use of a private event room for large get-togethers. The entire venue will also be available for hire for large corporate events.



The signing comes as scheme owner Hammerson <a href="https://news.completelyretail.co.uk/four-new-brands-sign-for-bristols-cabot-circus/">continues with its vision to enhance and future-proof the Bristol city centre asset</a> with innovative social, cultural, and entertainment concepts. Treetop Golf Cabot Circus will look to replicate the success of its Bullring &amp; Grand Central venue, which opened in May 2021.

Cabot Circus tees up Treetop Golf for Bristol debut

Women's activewear brand Sweaty Betty is set to open a new 1,714 sq ft store on the upper level of <a href="https://completelyretail.co.uk/scheme/the-mall-at-cribbs-causeway-bristol-3557">Cribbs Mall</a>, near <a href="https://completelyretail.co.uk/shops-to-rent/bristol">Bristol</a>.



The store will be the latest of the retailer's new concept stores, featuring dedicated destinations for leggings and sports bras, complete with newly-designed fitting rooms.



Sweaty Betty's arrival follows a strong 2023 for Cribbs Mall, which completed over 110,000 sq ft of leasing activity, <a href="https://news.completelyretail.co.uk/cribbs-mall-reaches-near-full-occupancy-in-2023/">bringing the occupancy rate to nearly 100%</a>. This included new lettings to Victoria's Secret, Mango, Charles Tyrwhitt, and Greggs over the past 12 months. Meanwhile, 28 retailers also renewed their leases, including Boots, Waterstones, and Fat Face. The presence of these brands helped footfall at Cribbs Mall increase by 8% during 2023.



Earlier this year, the scheme also welcomed Phase Eight for a new expanded 4,146 sq ft store, adding to its range of fashion brands.



M&amp;G Real Estate and Pradera Lateral are the joint asset managers for Cribbs Mall, with Time Retail Partners and Cushman &amp; Wakefield retained letting agents.



Scott Linard, portfolio director at M&amp;G Real Estate, said: “We are delighted that Sweaty Betty has selected Cribbs Mall as its latest location in the South West and we expect their arrival to be very popular amongst the centre’s shoppers. As the centre approaches full occupancy, it has been great to welcome several big name brands over the past 12 months as we continue to add to the diverse retail offering to ensure there is something for everyone at Cribbs Mall. We are in talks with several brands interested in taking the last couple of available units at Cribbs Mall, so we hope to announce more new arrivals soon.”

Four new brands have agreed to take space at <a href="https://completelyretail.co.uk/scheme/cabot-circus-bristol-3804">Cabot Circus</a>, as scheme owner Hammerson looks to invest into and reposition the <a href="https://completelyretail.co.uk/shops-to-rent/bristol">Bristol</a>-based centre.



Womenswear brand Stradivarius has agreed to open in a prime unit on Concorde Street, bolstering the scheme's fashion offering which includes the likes of Inditex-owned brands Zara, Pull&amp;Bear, and Bershka.



In a portfolio-first for Hammerson, athleisure headwear brand Lids is also set to open at the scheme, after agreeing to take a 600 sq ft store. The brand will look to tap into Bristol's young demographic with an offer including NBA, NFL, and MLB-branded baseball caps.



Arabian-inspired British perfume brand Sunnamusk will also be opening at Cabot Circus as it continues to expand through Europe. The brand has previously opened at a number of Hammerson-owned destinations.



Finally, fast-growing kebab brand German Doner Kebab will also take space at Cabot Circus, diversifying the scheme's food and beverage offer.



The signings come as Hammerson looks to reposition its city centre assets, through the targeting of popular brands and the introduction of entertainment and social offers to engage and excite audiences.



At Cabot Circus, this has included:

<li>The repurposing of underutilised car park space to create a pop-up skatepark, which attracted over 2,000 people in just 7 days.</li>



<li>The transformation of a former restaurant into a new cultural space to host a one-off gig – called Best of Bristol – which raised £20k for charity.</li>



<li>The introduction of new art and culture pieces, including a collaboration with animation studio Aardman, the creators of Wallace and Gromit, to create a new mural celebrating Bristol’s heritage.</li>



<li>The introduction of Charity Super.Mkt to Bristol, the UK’s first ever multi-charity retail store. Originally a six-week pop-up, the store extended its run twice due to strong demand, and has raised over £275k for charity since opening in July.&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
