Zara is set to more than double the size of its existing store at South King Street in <a href="https://completelyretail.co.uk/shops-to-rent/dublin">Dublin</a>, expanding into the space formerly occupied by fashion rival H&amp;M.



The retailer will increase the size of its store at Hines' Chatham &amp; King mixed-use development from 14,000 to 33,000 sq ft, becoming the largest fashion store in the Grafton Street area.



Niall Ryan, senior director of asset management at Hines, said: “We are delighted to see Zara commit to such a substantial expansion of their flagship city centre store.



“It not only reinforces Grafton Street as Dublin’s premier retail destination, it also underscores the vibrancy of the local retail commercial landscape moving into 2024.



“Chatham &amp; King has proved to be a centrepiece development in the rejuvenation of this historic quarter and is home to the world’s leading fashion and luxury brands and today’s announcement by Zara is yet another strong endorsement of the success we have seen to date with this portfolio.”

Dublin's newly-restored Clerys Quarter is now fully let following the signing of sporting goods retailer Decathlon.



Taking a 30-year lease for a 30,000 sq ft unit, Decathlon will join the likes of H&amp;M, Pret A Manger, and the already-opened sushi chain Rolled in the new development.



The new store will be the French retailer's third in the Republic of Ireland.



Clothing retailer Flannels had originally planned to lease the ground floor and basement area unit, but terminated the agreement in July 2023, leading to a legal dispute.



The Clerys building was reopened last year, with the building's historic features such as the clock, internal staircases, and colonnaded façade retained as part of restoration works. Luxembourg-based investment group Europa, along with local partners Core Capital and Oakmount, is leading the development.



James Keast, director of asset management at Europa, said: "The phased opening of the scheme will continue throughout 2024 and, as we near the completion of the project, we are looking forward to welcoming the community into the space."

Calvin Klein has opened the doors to a new store at <a href="https://completelyretail.co.uk/scheme/blanchardstown-centre-dublin-4784">Blanchardstown Centre </a>in <a href="https://completelyretail.co.uk/shops-to-rent/dublin">Dublin</a>.



Located on the scheme's second level, the luxury brand's store spans 2,000 sq ft and sits adjacent to menswear brand Fields and largest Zara store in Ireland.



The arrival of Calvin Klein follows a number of arrivals at Blanchardstown Centre in recent months, including <a href="https://news.completelyretail.co.uk/nike-unite-opens-first-irish-store/">Nike Unite</a>, <a href="https://news.completelyretail.co.uk/lego-lands-in-dublin/">Lego</a>, and Flannels.



Sharon Walsh, leasing director at scheme asset manager Falcon AM, said: “It is great to see another globally recognised brand open a store at Blanchardstown Centre.



“Calvin Klein will serve to further broaden our luxury fashion offer – speaking directly to demand from our catchment. The store will act as a real draw as we enter the festive shopping period.
